NEW YORK--Commissioner Bud Selig shall not change records of Barry Bonds after conviction of the batter in obstruction to Justice last week.
Bonds has the race (762) and (73) records of home run in the season, breaking marks set by Hank Aaron (755) and Mark McGwire (70).
"In life always has to be pragmatism," Selig said during a meeting Thursday with the associated press sports editors. "I believe that anyone who understands sport understands exactly why".
Bonds was sentenced last week in a single account, with the jury gave an evasive answer to a grand jury in 2003 when asked if the personal trainer Greg Anderson never gave him an injection of finding what you need. Bond lawyers have asked the verdict thrown by.
