Schalke forward Raul insisted that it will remain at the club until his contract in June 2012, although part of Ralf Rangnick will fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Raul has played in 14 of the last 15 Champions League campaigns, and he is the scorer of the competition, with 71 goals• Neuer rejects new contract for Schalke
Raul, 33, joined Schalke from Real Madrid last summer - put an end to an 18-year partnership with the club that had seen him win legendary among the whites of the fans.
Initially took time to settle in the Bundesliga, but managed to score 12 goals this season and was five times in the Champions League, to help fire Schalke to a semifinal against Manchester United.
A disastrous League campaign has seen Schalke not to challenge for the title of Bundelsiga and they are now 10 in table - almost certainly you in European football altogether.
It will be the only way to return to the Champions League by winning, but even if they fall to Manchester United or Barca and Real Madrid in the final, Raul says he has no intention of leaving the real Blues.
"Next year we could not be in the Champions League, but did not leave," said Raul. "Before joining Schalke there was opportunity to join other teams but this was what I needed - play regularly, a little more than the battle."
"I feel good physically, well mentally, and I hope to continue for at least another year." If I feel like, if I like, I'd take beyond that. "
